Threading and waxing both remove hair from the root, but the experience and results differ in important ways — especially on the face.

Threading uses a twisted cotton thread to roll over the skin and lift hairs individually. It's incredibly precise, making it perfect for shaping brows and defining the upper lip or chin. Because no product touches the skin, it's the gentlest option for sensitive or reactive skin.

Waxing covers a larger area quickly, so it's more efficient for the cheeks, sides, or full face. We use Lycon cream and hot wax, which grips the hair without pulling the skin, reducing irritation.

If you're using retinol or acne medication, threading is the safer choice — waxing can lift sensitised skin. For general facial hair removal on healthy skin, either works beautifully.
